Assistant Projects Manager

Job Summary:
An Assistant Project Manager plays a key supporting role in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction and development projects. They work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Project Manager assists in coordinating between stakeholders, tracking project progress, and supporting day-to-day project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from initiation to completion.
- • Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progress aligns with the approved project schedule.
- • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and update project schedules, progress reports, and site reports on a regular basis.
- • Track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines, and report any delays or risks to the Project Manager.
- • Assist in monitoring project costs, variations, and change orders in coordination with the finance team.
- • Review drawings and specifications to ensure proper execution and compliance with approved designs.
- Participate in site meetings and prepare minutes of meetings (MOM).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Support documentation, record keeping, and reporting for project controls and audits.
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in construction or project coordination roles.
- • Good understanding of construction methods, project sequencing, and site operations.
- • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- • Strong reporting, organizational, and communication skills.
- • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
